What the Pros Say

Glyn "Quarry Hucker" O Brien - Red Bull Rampage/ Elite Rider
Its great to finally get a healthy energy boost using the Squeezy products. I ride anything from a 10 min blast on the pump track to 6 hrs in the saddle on an all mountain epic and I'm still bouncing with energy when I get back. Maybe thats because the effort is being rewarded with a tasty vanilla recovery bar on the drive home

Thanks for hucking me up with the squeezy for yesterday, worked a treat, a gel at the end of each stage and I was ready for the next stage!

1. Thanks for the supplies yesterday Steve, I Squeezed a few caffeine gels in throughout the day and they kept me alert and buzzin'! You needed as much concentration as possible yesterday - this Enduro racing is about the mind as well as the body!
2. I particularly like a few gels and gums in the backpack when out slaughtering new ground with my trusty mattock.

Just when the mountain thinks it has defeated me, I gobble down some Squeezy and then the singletrack-attack re-ignites with gusto.

The next time you are on a 3Rock trail and catch the faint scent of a lemony Sqeezy gel, stop and lick the trail, it's likely highly-energised sweat after seeping from my awesome pores.

Cheers for the boast at the weekend boys. Didnt feel fatigued once all weekend and no muscle aches or cramps on Monday. Will deffo be getting another batch of squeezy goodness soon :)
Update: the stuff was the bizz.  The banana gels are well tasty and the caffeine has a good boast for the start of the stages.  Between practice Saturday and comp Sunday I was expecting some serious muscle cramps and aches afterwards but not a thing and I could go at it again Monday no bother.

Between the gels, recovery bars and jellies during the comp and the carbo load drink I had right after, I'm sure it all helped my performance and recovery.  Right up to the end of the final stage I hadn't felt any fatigue and I put it down to the squeezy goodness.
Even the missus is getting on the buzz as she needs to stick to a gluten free diet.  Just hope she doesn't savage all my recovery bars :S

Took ur €40 deal on Sat @ Gravity Enduro Ireland and loved every product, cannot recommend enough, energy hit exceptional tasted great and not too sweet or sticky. The major plus for me was that I felt great sat and sun evening as well, no upset stomach, no cramps etc, i wont be trying anything else for a long time, big thumbs up :)

The Squeezy range is as good as any big brand energy supplements I've used in the past. The gels are excellent, both for performance & taste. I found the caffeine gel's kick in very quickly & give a much needed energy boost at the start of a spin. Both the cola and lemon gels are definitely the best tasting compared to others I've used.
My favourite though was the Squeezy jellies, what a great idea. Gels can be difficult to consume, especially in a racing situation where you need an opportune moment to take them. When your pushing hard & sweating they can be a pain in the ass to open & rarely do you get to consume the entire gel either. With the jellies you don't have that problem. Just open the pack & empty the lot into your pocket. This allows you to throw one or two into your mouth every few minutes giving a slow, sustained release of energy throughout the day and didn't leave me wanting for more.
Finally, the protein recovery bars are excellent & actually very nice to eat, I could eat them just as a tasty snack on their own. Gram for gram, protein content is as good as any of the leading names out there.

Overall I'm very impressed with the Squeezy range. I felt no stomach cramps or other ill effects afterwards.

I can't recommend them enough & will definitely be using the Squeezy products in the future.

1. Thumbs up on the Squeezy. Scrivo hooked me up with a sack of gels and jellies. I popped a gel for the Club race and set my fastest lap of the year, and took some jellies on top of Scarr and the sun came out. They taste good too and go down easy compared to others. Great product.
2. I'm very slow to endorse anything that isn't a Giant or Pizza based product, but I've been using Scrivos stuff now for couple of months and am a total convert. Any gel I previously tried just gave me cramp and made me feel sick, but these ones actually seem to work. I've taken them a number of times when I feel the legs giving up, and 10 minutes later I feel noticeably stronger. I like the gums too but it's the gels that really seem to deliver that extra kick when you are flagging, while being easy on the tum.

How a squeezy energy gel saved my life... I was riding up in a remote spot in the Wicklow mountains at night about an hour and a half from civilization with less than an hour left of charge in my lights! Energy levels were flagging and I'm sure those eyes I saw beside the trail were the infamous Wicklow wolves waiting to move in for the kill. Luckily Squeezy Scriv was with me and he pulled out a Squeezy energy gel sample for me to try - just what I needed. Liquid sugary gloup from a plastic sachet never tasted so good! Gave me the boost I needed to make it back and in record time too. The only thing is it worked so well I was awake until 3am cause I had so much energy and it wasn't event the caffeinated version!

Havent had a chance to use them on the bike but I was dying with man flu yesterday, took a gel and it lifted me enough to get through a day of work no problem. They definately taste a hell of alot better than any other gels I've had before too, which is deadly! I'll be putting in an order with ya soon Scrivy!

Greg's update: As some of you may know, I recently got a new sponsor in the form of Squeezy Sports nutrition products. image It all began when a friend of mine, Stephen Scrivener started selling the products and gave me some samples to try out, I said I’d take them and didn’t think much of it. I’d used energy gels and drinks etc in the past with little luck so was a little sceptical of trying them out. My previous experiences with energy supplements were that they either made me feel ill when taken during excercise or just had little or no effect for the cost…. That’s why I was so impressed with the Squeezy products.

I have a 16 minute training climb near my house that I regularly time myself up, I figured that would be a perfect chance to test the samples Steve gave me, I was also just coming off a bad flu so could use the extra help on the day. I had a pack of the jellies before I left the house, these are a slow release energy jelly so I figured they’d keep my energy high through the spin, at the bottom of the climb I popped a raspberry gel and took off like a shot. Despite being on my 180mm bike compared to my hardtail and still quite sick, I managed to better my PB up the climb which I hadn’t beaten in a few months… This had me sold! Now, it gets better, normally when I give a hard effort for this climb I am worn out for the rest of the spin and don’t do much more. I had some of the carbo load drink and managed another 3 hours around Threerock at full pace, something I can normally never do even when fully healthy. The only thing I could put this down to was the Squeezy products.

So, I got home, sent Steve a mail saying I wanted to buy some of the products from him, he said yeah no problem but then came back the next day saying he might be able to get me sorted with a sponsorship deal, he worked his magic and John from Squeezy Ireland was very helpfull and got me sorted. I was delighted with the outcome considering I was ready and fully willing to buy the products from Steve. I’ve now made it a habit to take a gel and pack of jellies with me on any spin or training ride I go on. It maked it so much more enjoyable being able to stay moving and keep fresh and alert for a flat out 3 hour spin. But it doesn’t end there, alot of Downhill racers overlook how helpfull these type of products can be to them while racing. Mt. Leinster IDMS Rd. 2 was my first race with the products so I keen to see if they would have much effect on my performance. I had some jellies and was constantly sipping on the Carbo load drink on Saturday during practice in between runs, mainly because they taste so damn nice, these gave me that edge to get a few more runs done than most and stay going for the whole day without fading or needing a rest. Sunday morning I did the same during practice and coming up to race runs I had a pack of Jellies an hour before and a gel while starting my warm up. The gel is what really got me going, I was mentally alert and eager to do my run while feeling full of energy and suddenly motivated. In the past I have suffered massively from being tired and worn out from the weekends riding when it comes to my race run, which made me feel really good when I felt so energetic and eager to get down the hill, usually it’s an effort for me to do a good warm up or get going from the start of the run.

But it wasn’t just a placebo like some may think, it definitely gave me the extra edge I needed. I managed to get my first win in 2 years, and a considerable margin of 7 seconds on a sub 2 minute track. So, my first race using Squeezy products and I managed to bag a big win for the first time in 2 years, coincidence? I think not! I cannot speak highly enough of these products, they’re easy on the stomach, taste great and work better than anything I have ever used or heard of.

There is a massive range of products to suit everyones needs so check them out on: Squeezy performancey OR Contact Stephen Scrivener on Facebook if your located in Leinster or Squeezy Ireland to find out where you can get your hands on some of this turbo juice. They have more than proved themself and the advantages of using these products to me with these results, but why listen to me? Buy your own and give them a try, you won’t regret it.

Rob 'Shambo' Whittle on the 125ml gel bottle
Its powerfull stuff alright ! The 125ml bottle of gel is excellent, no fumbling around trying to rip open sachets with you teeth. Just pop open the mouth piece squeeze and your refueled ready to attack whats ahead
